Other roles

Once a practitioner completes the TouchPro Certification process, there are other roles that are possible to assume in the organization. The complete list of roles includes:

  • TouchPro Practitioner
  • TouchPro Senior Practitioner
  • TouchPro Assistant Trainer
  • TouchPro Trainer
  • TouchPro Senior Trainer

These roles and their criteria and benefits are detailed in the chart below.

We consider these positions to be functional roles rather than achievement designations. Traditionally in organizations, a higher "level" designation is granted to reflect a higher level of competency or "achievement."

In TouchPro, however, while these levels do require an increasing level of competency, that is not why they are awarded. They are conferred only when there is a need for a specific "function" within the organization.

For example, say a TouchPro Certified Practitioner lives in Alabama (none currently do). There is no need for that practitioner to become a Senior Practitioner because the functional description of a Senior Practitioner is someone who is able to organize groups of TouchPro Practitioners for chair massage jobs. However, there are no other practitioners in the whole state. Thus, we would not make that practitioner a Senior Practitioner, no matter what their qualifications.

If the TouchPro Certified Practitioner truly would like to be a Senior Practitioner, then she should spend time and energy helping to set up TouchPro Seminars in Alabama. Over time, there would be more Practitioners to supervise and there would soon arise a need for Senior Practitioners.

Likewise, TouchPro practitioners who have their sights set on becoming a trainer should know that, if there are not trainings happening in their region (perhaps because there are too few table practitioners to train), then we are not going to designate a trainer in that area.

Below is a chart outlining each role, its function, the basic criteria, and the benefits. The levels are nested. That is, each level also includes the function, criteria, and benefits of the level(s) above it. This chart is not exhaustive and is subject to change. In the private TouchPro Practitioner area is a more detailed description of each credential.
